Laura Prigge

HI! I am a PhD student at CIBIO under the Gulf of Guinea Research program. I am a marine ecologist with a MSc in Marine Biological Resources and a passion for social-environmental justice and interdisciplinary problem solving. I am particularly interested in marine macro algae forests and in coastal ecosystems. I want to understand their genetic diversity and evolutionary history.  Further, I am curious about the interplay between human society and marine/coastal ecosystems. In my previous position I worked on Marine Ecosystem Service Assessments, specifically on a case study in the Belgian Part of the North Sea.
