Milene Cunha Gabriel

I graduated in Biology from the University of Coimbra and completed my Master's in Ecology and Environment at the University of Porto. My passion for large mammals and conservation led me to focus my master's thesis on the diet of two carnivores in Africa using DNA metabarcoding. Additionally, using genotyping techniques, I studied the kinship between individuals and their space use. After my thesis, I worked as part of the Ecogenomics group, where my work included bioinformatics analyses. Currently, I am a research technician, and my work involves studying the diet of elephants in Guinea-Bissau.
