Completed the Master’s degree in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution at the Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto in November 2020 and the Bachelor’s degree in Biology in June 2018 by University of Aveiro. During the thesis year of the MSc degree in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution, applied DNA metabarcoding tools to understand how habitat suitability shaped the feeding ecology of an endangered species (G. pyrenaicus) in Northwestern Iberia. Developed technical skills, working with non-invasive samples and in DNA metabarcoding analyses.
Interested in the areas of Conservation Biology and Biodiversity.
The PhD will be focused on the connectivity, trophic ecology and conservation of the threatened Pyrenean Desman. It will contribute to the development of conservation actions for this threatened species.
