Modern genomics has a prominent role in biodiversity research. On July 1st, Biopolis will host Jochen Wolf (Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich), and Camila Mazzoni (Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research and chair of the European Reference Genome Atlas) in a day devoted to the discussion of evolutionary genomics research and the importance of reference genomes in biodiversity research and applications.
