Paulo Pereira

I graduated in Biology (2011) and completed my MSc degree in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution (2014) by the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto. My main research interests relate with the various evolutionary avenues’ species use to adapt to new, challenging, conditions. During my ongoing PhD thesis, I had the opportunity to address some of these questions by tackling the role of both genetic and epigenetic components on the adaptation of an anadromous fish (Alosa alosa) to a complete freshwater life cycle.
