Research Technician
Graduated in 2012 on Terrestrial Environmental Biology BSc from the University of Lisbon (Portugal). I’m currently developing my thesis for Ecology, Environment and Territory Master from Porto’s University. Before starting my master degree I worked with mozambique biological collection in, the now extinct, Tropical Research Institute (IICT, Lisbon) and did an internship in the Landscape Ecology Group (Umeå University, SE) on Ecologically modelling Cepphus grille geographic distribution.
My aim, for the master thesis, is to understand and characterize the application of dynamic modelling approaches on invasion biology studies, particularly, models addressing management of invasive species. I intend to also develop a dynamic modelling approach for the management of Acacia dealbata in Portugal. My interests are more broadly focused on the application of modelling technics to understand, analyse and forecast ecological processes, being biological invasions a particular appealing ecological process.
