Post-Doc Researcher
I studied Landscape Architecture at Faculty of Sciences of Porto University concluding my Master degree in 2014. My thesis discussed an intervention proposal on an archaeological site, Tongobriga, a Roman city located in Porto District and classified as a national monument. After graduating I have done a professional training at Quinta de Curvos, a romantic garden dating from the beginning of the XXth century. From 2016 to 2017 I collaborated with Horto da Circunvalação developing projects from small to medium scale, national and international level.
Now affiliated with CIBIO my work focuses on Alto Douro Wine Region / Tua, Côa and Sabor River Valley. I’m studying landscape links regarding natural and cultural values in order to explore the creation of a protected area network and contribute for this region understanding and development.
My research interest focuses on heritage valorization, spatial planning and landscape requalification projects.
