My main research interests are wildlife management and conservation, with a particular focus on population ecology. Over the past 12 years, I have participated in several projects across the Iberian Peninsula, both as a field technician and as a project manager, dealing mainly with the monitoring, management, and conservation of wild rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) populations. This species plays a crucial ecological role, being the keystone prey for highly endangered carnivores such as the Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus).
In recent years, my work has also expanded to projects focused on the monitoring of Iberian wolf (Canis lupus signatus) and Iberian lynx populations, where I have contributed to long-term data collection and ecological analyses. These experiences have strengthened my interest in understanding how species interact with their habitats and how conservation strategies can be adapted to improve the viability of threatened populations.
I have developed expertise in a wide range of ecological tools and methods, including counting surveys, telemetry, camera trapping, geographical information systems (GIS), and ecological modelling. By combining these approaches, I aim to address questions related to species distribution, abundance, and habitat suitability, always with a strong applied perspective to support evidence-based management and conservation planning.
Overall, my professional path reflects a deep commitment to applied ecology, with emphasis on developing practical solutions for wildlife conservation challenges in Mediterranean ecosystems.
