André Gomes do Nascimento
PhD Student
André Nascimento is a landscape architect from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, with professional practice since 2006, in landscape architecture projects with different scales and contexts, cooperating with multidisciplinary teams.
Looking to combine project practice with research, he develops a master degree in landscape architecture at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (2011), and a postgraduate in landscape architecture and urban ecology (2012) at Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto.
He has as main interest areas the natural regeneration of vegetation, the use of assisted ecological succession in project and the reclamation of degraded landscapes.
He is developing his PhD thesis, in landscape reclamation of alluvial landscapes degraded by sand mining, at Veiga de Chaves.
