André Luiz Guedes da Silva

I completed my degree in Biological Sciences (bachelor's degree in zoology) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and completed my Master's degree in the Postgraduate Program in Zoology at the National Museum/Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PPGZoo-MN/UFRJ). I started my doctorate in 2023 in the Postgraduate Program in Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PPGBBE-UFRJ). The topic of my thesis is "Taxonomic and conservation implications of the biodiversity of mammals collected in the first official naturalist expedition to the Amazônia, Cerrado and Pantanal”. My advisors are Dr. Leila Maria Pessôa (Mastozoology Laboratory of the Biology Institute of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and Dr. Luis Miguel Pires Ceríaco (University of Porto).
