Andreia Penado
PhD Student
Andreia Penado has been working on her PhD since September 2013, entitled "A plight for bumblebee conservation: ensuring future pollinator services in the Iberian Peninsula”.
Graduated with a BSc in Terrestrial Environmental Biology (2007) and an MSc in Conservation Biology (2009) from the University of Lisbon (Portugal), since 2011, she has been conducting several works related to the ecology and conservation of bees.
With a diverse biological interest ranging from Amphibians ecology to Hymenoptera taxonomy, she has published two peer-reviewed papers. Andreia has been also active in science communication, with a number of publications aimed at the general public.
