I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Aveiro and a
Master’s in Ecology and Environment at the Faculty of Sciences of the
University of Porto (FCUP). My dissertation, titled "Forest Habitat
Restoration and Monitoring in Freeway Interchange Areas of Porto
District," focused on the importance of revegetating these spaces to
benefit the urban environment, such as mitigating climate change and conserving
biodiversity. The interest in urban biodiversity stems from the fact that I
have always found it fascinating how, in such anthropogenic settings,
incredible animals and plants can still exist, and how these green patches,
amidst so many human-made structures, can help preserve these species.
In my free time, I enjoy birdwatching and photographing.
