Cândida Gomes Vale
Auxiliary Researcher
I am an ecologist and data analyst with research interest in biodiversity conservation, climate change vulnerability assessments, and ecological modeling. I have a proven track record in arid and marine environments, demonstrated through a Ph.D. in 2016 and subsequent research initiatives. I am adept at seeking innovative solutions, transitioning seamlessly from terrestrial to marine research, and more recently, from macro to micro scale. I hold a post-graduation in Computational Statistics and Data Analysis (2021), which enhances proficiency in handling complex datasets. I have accumulated fieldwork days in expeditions to areas such as the Sahara Desert or Cape Verde islands. Currently, I am researcher in the project ROCKinBIO - A biodeterioration model to predict biological impact on exposed rock surfaces and open-air rock-art (2023-2024).
