I completed my MSc in Ecology and Environment at the University of Porto in 2021. My dissertation project, entitled "Modelling the European wildcat (Felis silvestris) density across Europe”, consisted of estimating density for 22 wildcat populations across Europe, integrated within the EUROWILDCAT initiative. In 2019, I completed my BSc in Biology at the University of Aveiro. My internship project, entitled "Brown bear monitoring and conservation in the Cantabrian Mountains”, consisted of studying the Brown bear habitat use patterns across 19 years of population expansion in the Cantabrian Mountains.

I am mostly interested in research in the areas of Ecology and Biodiversity Conservation, particularly studying large-scale and long-term ecological dynamics of terrestrial mammal populations.

My PhD project, entitled "Large-scale assessment of wildlife translocations success across Africa”, aims to investigate the effectiveness of terrestrial mammal translocations across Africa. Through a collaborative framework, it seeks to identify the factors influencing the survival and site fidelity of translocated mammals and propose optimized metrics for assessing translocation success. This research will contribute to a deeper understanding of restoration efforts. Its findings will not only benefit wildlife communities but also support the restoration of essential ecological processes and enhance ecosystem services for human populations.
