I studied Genetics and Biotechnology in Vila Real where I obtained my BSc degree in 2018 and just completed my MSc degree in Forensic Genetics by the University of Porto in 2021.
My Master dissertation project, developed at BIOPOLIS/CIBIO-InBIO, involved the bioinformatic analysis of ancient genomic data obtained from archaeological cattle specimens from central/southern Portugal, mostly representative of the Medieval Islamic and post-Medieval Christian periods.

Following graduation I'm continuing this research project to further understand the past evolutionary events that shaped the genomes of Portuguese cattle through this cultural transition.
