Cristóvão Ribeiro

I'm a student at the University of Porto, currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences (FCUP). My academic interests lie in biodiversity, environmental science, and cultural heritage, with a particular focus on lichens in arid environments. I am involved in projects exploring lichen diversity in these ecosystems and their role in biodeterioration, deepening my understanding of ecological interactions, conservation challenges, and their impact on historical structures.

Besides my studies, I am a musician and a language teacher, actively engaging in creative and social projects alongside my scientific work. I believe this cluster of biology, teaching and art allows me to explore new ways in which to incorporate science in other parts of society, as well as giving me other insights on how to approach new questions when they arise. As my academic and working roles continue to shape my interests, I feel increasingly eager to further develop my skills in biological research and data analysis.
