I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Applied Biology, from the University of Aveiro (Portugal). During my degree I did a curricular internship at University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (Portugal), where I explored dynamic modelling as a tool for testing wildlife management scenarios.
I obtained a Master’s degree in Ecology and Environment in 2021, from the University of Porto (Portugal) with a thesis entitled "Policy-oriented research in invasion science: Status, trends, gaps and lessons”. This work allowed me to develop skills in research synthesis and analysis, as well as to broaden my knowledge about invasive species policy and the socioecological processes and dynamics associated with managing invasives.
During my Master’s degree I also participated in several other projects related to invasive species.
My main goal is to continue learning and developing skills that allow me to contribute to the better management of ecosystems and society.
