I have a BSc degree in Biology, from the University of Aveiro, and enrolled in the MSc in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Bioentrepreneurship in Plants at University of Minho. During my master's, I had the chance to explore the dynamics of unisexual flower formation in Quercus orocantabrica. Currently, as part of my PhD project, I am studying the molecular mechanisms underlying flower formation, flowering induction and dormancy cycles in the wider Quercus genus, aiming at correlating contrasting phenological behaviours with divergent molecular patterns.
