Currently, my main interests relate to understanding marine predators (sharks, tunas) energetics and movement ecology (where, why, and how they move in the ocean). Specifically, most of my work comprises studying the fine-scale swimming behaviour (kinematics, activity, energy expenditure) of marine predators, which is then essential to contextualize their long-term movement patterns and distribution. This knowledge is crucial for effectively conserving these vulnerable species, as their declining populations face increasing threats from climate change and fishing activities.
