Lucía Perez-Pardal
Post-Doc Researcher
I obtained my PhD in Genetics from the University of Santiago de Compostela, under the supervision of Félix Goyache and Luis J. Royo. My thesis focused on the worldwide genetic variability of the Y-chromosome in domestic ruminants. Afterward, I completed a one-year postdoctoral position at the University of Liège in the Animal Genetics Unit, supervised by Tom Druet and led by Michel Georges. In this role, I investigated structural variations and selective sweeps in the bovine genome. Following this, I joined the AGRIGENOMICS group as a postdoctoral fellow funded by FCT. My primary research interests include population genomics, evolutionary biology, and the study of microbiomes.
