I am broadly interested in the processes shaping genetic variation and how they affect species diversification. Currently, I conduct my research in multiple topics being the main one the role that hybridization plays in species evolution, as well as its conservation consequences. I study how introgression influences the evolution of insular plant species and what are the ecological impacts of hybridization promoted by biological invasions.
I am also interested in the development of molecular approaches to describe biodiversity including metabarcoding and metagenomic resources. My focus consists in the implantation of these resources to describe biological communities using environmental DNA.
