Marcello Bilancioni

I completed my Bachelor degree in biology at the University of Padova (Italy). Subsequently, I obtained a Master degree in evolutionary biology (OEP program) at the University of Bonn (Germany), with a thesis on integumentary morphology of weakly electric fish. As part of the same master program,  I conducted fieldwork under the Museum Koenig's mammalogy section for the INPEDIV project. My task was to assess habitat preference and diversity of small mammals in the Eifel region. Recently, I joined the BIODESERTS team (University of Porto) for a field trip to AlUla (Saudi Arabia) meant to assess the local biodiversity. My task was to assess the small mammal fauna, which consists predominantly of rodents. Currently I am employed with the same team for a project that's similarly structured but planned to be executed in a different region of Saudi Arabia.
