My research is focused on the use of geospatial tools to understand patterns of landscape change and evolutionary processes. During my PhD I studied adaptation of amphibians to dry environments using a combination of molecular and spatial methods, while characterizing loss and degradation of forested habitats using remote sensing tools. In my postdoctoral research, I am primarily focused on the use of remote sensing for mapping land use in arid regions, as well as monitoring and managing invasive plant species and identifying priority areas for ecological restoration.
