With a background in arts and a constant empathy with the natural environment, I was drawn to Landscape Architecture, captivated by how it seamlessly merges these two distinct yet complementary domains. I hold both a Bachelor's degree (2021) and a Master's degree (2023) in Landscape Architecture from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto. Throughout my academic studies, I actively engaged in various hands-on experiences, including volunteer work in the maintenance of Porto Botanical Garden, where I also worked as a guide for educational tours. Subsequently, I was invited to join the Environmental Education Service at the Serralves Foundation, where I led workshops focused on environmental awareness and sustainability. Following my graduation, I gained further practical experience in a green spaces management company, where I was responsible for developing Landscape Architecture projects and accompanying the work of maintenance teams.
Currently, I am embarking on a new academic endeavor as a Ph.D. student in Landscape Architecture at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto, supported by a research grant from the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT). My research centers on the resilience and vitality of green spaces, with particular emphasis on topics such as landscape conservation, innovative design and management strategies, planting design, nature-based solutions, and urban green infrastructure. This focus is driven by a deep awareness of the pressing global challenges that threaten the ecological balance of our planet.
