Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to the intersection of environmental conservation and capacity building. I have used or supported research to inform and propose practical conservation and management solutions, while fostering the growth and empowerment of individuals and organizations. From my early academic research to understand the impact of climate change on mountain mammals (PhD - Laboratory of Biometry and Evolutionary Biology, University of Lyon 1, France), to the study of complex human-wildlife conflicts in farming areas of South Africa (Postdoc - ICWild, University of Cape Town, South Africa), to the implementation of projects to improve Protected Area management (Project Managent/Capacity Building - BirdLife International, Sao Tomé and Principe), my work has involved studying wildlife ecology and fostering sustainable practices and biodiversity conservation with the help of local communities. With a wealth of experience in Africa, I look forward to contribute to the development of research projects and capacity-building initiatives within CIBIO and the WildEcol group, on the continent and beyond.
