Marisa da Silva Graça
PhD Student
Marisa Graça was born in 1980 and became a graduated landscape architect in 2004. Since then she was involved in the development and coordination of several landscape architecture projects and studies ranging from public to private investments (public and private gardens, urban parks, institutional outdoor spaces, industrial facilities, landscape and urban planning, ...).
Her professional experience raised several research questions about the gaps between urban ecology knowledge and the planning/design practice. In 2013 she enrolled as a PhD Student in the Landscape Architecture Doctoral Program of Faculty of Sciences (University of Porto), with a research project concerning the benefits provided by urban green areas and vegetation to city dwellers.
Her current research interests are in urban ecology, ecosystem services, urban planning, landscape and planting design.
