Marta Mendes

I started my academic career in Aveiro and finished my master's degree in applied biology in 2022.

I've already been a researcher at the University of Aveiro where I worked in the field of ecotoxicology, after finishing my scholarship I worked as a science teacher in primary school classes and I've also worked as a medical writer for two different companies.

My dream has always been to study primates, in particular gorillas, and I've given some courses and presentations at the University of Aveiro on the biology and ecology of gorillas.

In addition to this, I founded an association for exotic domestic animals with a friend, APRAE, which is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of various species.
