I have a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a master's degree from the Graduate Program in Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology. During my bachelor's and master's degrees, I was a member of the Russo Lab at UFRJ, where I studied macroevolutionary aspects of the evolution and diversification of the major groups of lizards and snakes. I also sought to understand how major geological changes influenced the diversification of Squamata. I am currently associated with the Natural History Laboratory (NATHIST), led by researcher Luis MP Ceríaco, where I will be studying a complex of species, working in the areas of systematics, biogeography and evolution.
