I hold a MSc degree in Natural Resource Management from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), and completed a Post-graduate Diploma in International Wildlife Conservation Practice at the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit (WILDCRU), at Oxford University. I hold as well a bachelor degree in Teaching Biology from the Higher Institute of Educational Science of Huíla (ISCED-Huíla). Upon the completion of my BSc degree I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in conservation research as assistant for different projects which aimed to assess the Biodiversity in South Angola. These years of observing wildlife populations and collecting data made me develop interest in understanding the mechanisms underlying the structure and functioning of wildlife communities, and work towards conservation. The pursuit of these goals led me to develop a MSc thesis entitled "Assessment of the abundance and selected population characteristics of Hartmann's mountain zebra Equus zebra hartmannae in Iona National Park, Angola".

Currently, I'm part of a program for a long term monitoring of wildlife in Iona National Park which started with my MSc project focused on Hartmann's mountain zebra, but it will be extended to integrate other two Ungulate species (Gemesbok and Springbok), for my PhD project which will look at "Environmental and Anthropogenic Drivers of Ungulate Population Dynamic in a Desert Landscape". I have been passionately working with the perspective of understand and protect the Biodiversity.
