I am a biologist with experience in conservation, ecological monitoring, and environmental impact assessment. With an academic background in Biology and Conservation Biology, I have developed experience in field research, wildlife monitoring, and the use of remote sensing for biodiversity assessment, with a particular focus on landscape ecology.
I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the Polytechnic Institute of Beja and a Master’s degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Évora.
My research interests lie in conservation, landscape ecology, and remote sensing applications. I have focused on understanding the effects of human presence on landscapes and ecological patterns, such as the impact of roads on wildlife movement and habitat fragmentation, as well as the influence of landscape characteristics on wildlife behaviour. Additionally, I am skilled in GIS, statistical analysis using R, wildlife monitoring techniques (such as camera trapping and telemetry), and UAV-based ecological surveys.
