I have a wide variety of interests in Biology, extending from Biodiversity and Ecology to Evolution.
I have participated in different projects and scientific studies in Portugal and elsewhere. As I have a special interest in arachnids, spiders and scorpions foremost, I have worked extensively with Portuguese spiders, and with Iberian and North African scorpions.
During my PhD, I used different approaches and molecular tools to infer more about Buthus scorpions evolutionary history and to improve on their systematics.
