I am a conservation biologist and researcher with an MSc in Conservation Biology, with a strong focus on biodiversity conservation, animal ecology, and ecosystem functioning, particularly in relation to mammal communities.

My MSc thesis (2022–2023) investigated small mammal diversity patterns in mosaic landscapes of Guinea-Bissau (West Africa), aiming to enhance biodiversity conservation and food security. In 2023, I participated in a field expedition to the Corubal River and Cantanhez National Park in Guinea-Bissau, where I conducted small mammal surveys and later led fieldwork for different experiments comparing native forests with cashew monocultures.

Currently, I am a researcher at BIOPOLIS, CIBIO-InBio (University of Porto), as part of the BIODESERTS group. My work focuses on studying terrestrial non-volant mammals in desert environments, with a particular emphasis on small mammals, contributing to the understanding and conservation of this group.
