Rita Rocha
Post-Doc Researcher
I did my graduation (2005) and PhD (2011) in Biology at the University of Aveiro. Over the last years I have been working in close collaboration with researchers from the Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil, where I was a Post-doctoral fellow. I have worked in several projects on population genetics, phylogeography, phylogenetics and systematics, mostly dealing with Neotropical fauna. I am very interested in understand ecological and evolutionary responses to historical and ongoing environmental changes.
Currently, I am a Post-doc researcher at CIBIO-InBIO, where I devote my attention to population genetic and the analysis of demography, hybridization and diversity of several mammal species. Since 2016 I am member of the Re-introduction specialist group of the IUCN.
