For the past fourteen years, Siavash has been working on various conservation issues, with projects on human-wildlife conflict, wildlife monitoring, sustainable tourism development and community-based development in Iran. the Caucasus and Brazil. He received his MSc. in Tourism Economics and Regional Development from the University of Algarve, Portugal, in 2016 with a thesis on the role of nature-based tourism in local communities' attitudes towards biodiversity conservation. After completing his studies, Siavash returned to Iran and worked on various research projects at the Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany, related to better understanding the level of coexistence between local people and large carnivores. Siavash is also a PhD student at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon (IGOT-ULisboa). Currently he serves as a research technician at BIOPOLIS association, contributing his expertise to the "Predator-Prey Model" project.
