Upon returning to Angola, Soraia focused on museum and archaeological research projects. Between 2003 and 2019, she served as a lecturer at the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences of Huila (ISCED-Huíla), where she not only taught but also conducted research on the institution’s archaeological collection, held there since the 1960s.

She holds a PhD scholarship from CIBIO-InBIO-Associação BIOPOLIS.
