Access and Benefit Sharing of Azores Genetic and Natural Resources

In respect to the Regional interests it is important to safeguard the heritage of the Azores, which include genetic and natural heritage. These, form a potential basis for the development of Scientific Research.
The lack of a Licensing and Registration system (Authorization for Collection, Capture, Maintenance, Transportation), contributes ultimately to the impoverishment of Scientific Knowledge.
This project refers to a regulatory solution for Licensing the access to natural resources for scientific purposes in the Azores to fit the constraints and obligations that are subject to those interested in developing scientific research based on samples taken (the spoon ) in the Azores.
