PROFISH – Screening for novel probiotics within the European sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) microbiota capable of improving plant feedstuffs utilization
Sea bass allochthonous (transient) and autochthonous (adherent) gut microbiota communities, will be screened for promising metabolic traits and/or antimicrobial activity against two common pathogens (Vibrio anguillarum and Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida). The present proposal was planned with the ultimate goal to screen probiotics from sea bass gut microbiota capable of improving disease resistance against common pathogens and/or plant feedstuffs utilization.
