Projecto Ciência Viva, Vida em Ebulição
This project aims to bring the attention of high school students to the experimental teaching of natural sciences, using microbial communities of Furnas hot springs as a model. More specifically we aim to involve students on the several steps of this type of research, starting from the collection and treatment of samples to the participation in forums of discussion in the project’s web page, on the regional, national and international importance of the preservation of these unique ecosystems. As a whole this is a project on experimental teaching of sciences, but also an environmental education project on the importance to preserve these ecosystems.
