I got my Master degree in Evolutionary Biology in 2016 at the Ferrara University (Italy) with a thesis on scorpion chelae (pincers) closing speed. I explored the biomechanics of this muscle lever system, analyzing in a evolutive framework, both morphology and performance. I am also interested on how morphology can affect behavior and scorpions are my model organisms.

Currently I am developing my PhD thesis in the Scorpion Lab at CIBIO-InBIO. The aim of my thesis is to relate scorpion chela evolution with diet. I am also involved in several projects related to scorpion predatory behavior with an active collaboration with the IIBCE in Montevideo (Uruguay) and with Grupo de Investigación BEA de la Corporación Huiltur (Colombia).
