JOÃO PAULO SILVA’S WORK WAS HIGHLIGHTED BY RADIO PROGRAM “PONTO DE PARTIDA”
“Ponto de Partida” is a weekly series which highlights Portuguese research on various scientific fields and topics and their connection to everyday life. In an episode titled “Seres em Movimento” three researchers were invited to give their expert view about the movement of living beings and how human activities impact them.
João Paulo Silva gave his point of view about how human-modified landscapes reduce the movements of terrestrial mammals; talked about his investigation into the ecology of the little bustard population; and explained how he is using innovative tracking devices to monitoring bird’s behavior, in the scope of Movetech Telemetry project.
