PRIMACTION: PROTECTING THE WESTERN CHIMPANZEE AND OTHER PRIMATES FROM ILLEGAL LOGGING AND HUNTING IN GUINEA-BISSAU, WEST AFRICA
The Born Free Foundation is an international charity which takes action worldwide to protect species in the wild. In this scope, it is supporting a project to preserve the critically endangered western chimpanzee and other primates in Guinea-Bissau, leading by CIBIO-InBIO researcher Maria Joana Ferreira da Silva.
This project intends to develop a country-scale conservation management strategy, to protect primate species from illegal logging and bushmeat hunting in Guinea-Bissau.
