I am an ecologist with a particular interest in nature conservation. Broadly, my research interests includes: bird ecology and conservation; biodiversity in farmlands; movement ecology and impacts of anthropogenic infrastructures on wildlife.
I completed a PhD in Biodiversity, Genetic and Evolution at the University of Lisbon and University of Porto, in February 2020. My PhD thesis focused on how human infrastructures (as roads, power lines and wind turbines) affect and shape birds’ distribution and behaviour, with the ultimate goal of defining mitigation measures to apply to the design of infrastructures and thereby increasing their sustainability.
Currently, I’m a Post-Doc researcher working with bird ecology, aiming to understand how human activities affect birds’ space use and the populations' dynamics.
