I graduated in Biology and Geology (Universidade do Minho - 2008) and obtained a Master’s degree in Management of Forest Resources (Instituto Politécnico de Bragança - 2014).
Since 2014 I have been collaborating on several R&D projects addressing research topics such as landscape change, ecosystem services and wildfire management.
My research interests focus on applying modelling tools to simulate the effects of global change drivers (e.g., land use/cover change and climate change) on landscape processes, functions and services to support the management and planning of fire-prone landscapes.
Currently, I'm a PhD student enrolled in the BIODIV (Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution) program (Universidade do Porto), and I'm collaborating on the project SELINA – Science for Evidence-based and sustainabLe decIsions about NAtural capital as a research fellow.
