Cristina Isabel Mendes Oliveira Dias

I graduated in Biology/Geology, 2006, at Universidade do Minho. In 2013, I joined the group of Microbial Diversity and Evolution, as research fellow in the project microBIO 12 – Do laboratório para a sala de aula, funded by Ciência Viva - Agência Nacional para a Cultura Científica in the context of the program Escolher Ciência. This project aims to promote the learning of relevant contents and procedures related to biology and scientific research, through the implementation of experimental activities at high schools.

My current work, besides ensuring the logistics to implement the experimental activities in the schools, is particularly focused on teacher training assisting on the development of new activities and adapting the existing ones to meet the different frameworks in formal and informal education, and to assess the activities carried out through the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
