I am a veterinarian with a master in Applied Research to Wildlife Resources and a PhD in Biodiversity, Genetic and Evolution. Over the last years my main research interests have been the study of epidemiology of infections diseases in wildlife species, and particularly on understanding how the genetic background of hosts drive the host disease phenotype.
Currently I am a Post-doc researcher in the AGRIVOLE project which is focused on understanding the role of voles in agroecosystems in the Northeastern of Portugal. The aim is linking pest management to biodiversity conservation under environmental change.
