I am currently working in SPYGEN company (Le Bourget-du-Lac, France), and a research associate to the Applied Ecology group of CIBIO/InBio - Research Centre in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources, University of Porto; and to the Institute of Systematics, Evolution, Biodiversity (ISYEB), National Museum of Natural History (MNHN), CNRS, SU, EPHE, UA, CP 51, 57 rue Cuvier, 75005 Paris, France.
I have a master’s degree in Philosophy (University of Rennes II, France), a Master’s degree in Research in Biology (Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, University of Sorbonne, France) and a PhD in Systematics and Evolution (National Museum of Natural History in Paris, France).
My research interests are related to taxonomy, phylogeny, evolution, and conservation of freshwater molluscs, focusing on the highly threatened group of freshwater mussels and the cryptic group of subterranean gastropods. I have also worked on global ecological and conservation issues for several years as a private consultant, mainly in Europe and Africa. I now focus on environmental DNA, targeting freshwater molluscs, fish and threatened vertebrate taxa worldwide.
I am also an active member of the IUCN/SSC, within the Molluscs Specialist Group, and lead freshwater molluscs conservation actions in France.
